A Little Bit of History: Donovan Estates subdivision was established on July 14, 1977 by a corporation known as the Land Company. The original property contained 193 lots including a 6.5 acre lot designated as a park for the use by Donovan Estates owners. We take pride in fostering a friendly, welcoming environment where neighbors can connect and create lasting memories. Join us and be a part of a community that cares.

 

Current Association dues are $100 per year per lot and are due in July of each year.

 

Exceptions for dues can be found on the Matsu Borough website under the Senior Citizen/Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption Application. You must furnish an approved exemption copy to Donovan Estates Owners Association before they can exempt you. Also if you serve on the Donovan Estates Board of Directors you can claim an exemption.

 

Dues cover the cost of:

 

Insurances

Mailbox upkeep, boxes are owned by us
Vandalism expenses
Park maintenance & upgrades
Our website donovanestates.net
Street light installation & maintenance
Streetlight electricity charges
Accounting and management costs
Legal fees
Record-keeping expenses
Improvement projects
Miscellaneous expenses 

 

 

The USPS does no longer own or maintain the CBU mailboxes in our community. They are now owned and maintained by the Association. Therefore the Association must charge for use of our mailboxes. At this time we are charging a one time fee of $250.00 to use our mailboxes. There is an assigned mailbox address for each lot in our subdivision. There are multiplex apartment buildings located throughout our subdivision and they have their own assigned CBU units and are maintained by the realtor or building owner. Donovan Estates Owners Association does not have anything to do with these CBU mailboxes.

 

One mailbox is available per lot owner/address. 

We do not allow renters to use our mailboxes unless the fee is paid by the property owner and we receive a letter giving their permission.

 

As the U.S. Postal Service is no longer providing a locksmith service, you are free to consult the locksmith of your choice for key duplication, rekeying, or other lock related issues.

 

The majority of our boxes are located at 2796 S. Donovan Dr. near Clapp Rd. Just in front of our park. There is another mailbox unit across the KGB highway on the other end of S. Donovan Dr. It is in front of Guardian Security.

 

Mail theft is rampant in the MatSu valley.

 

We ask that you check your mail often and promptly report any suspicious activity or damage to us directly. 

 

 

The Donovanestates Owners Association has a facebook group page stickily for Donovan Owners. You must request to join and we do not allow any outside persons or businesses to join. If you want to join search for donovanestates and request to join. We presently have over 90 lot owners on our facebook page.

 

 

 

We invite you to join our website so you can take advantage of all we have to offer and be able to pay your dues online. When you first go to our website, you will see a Login/Register at the top right. Click on Register and follow the instructions. This information will be sent to our administrator, who will approve you to join our site if you are an owner in Donovan Estates.
